Parts & assemblies
Describe products using multi-level structures. Keep the components and quantities needed for an assembly connected to the parts your team quotes, buys and makes.
Bills of materials
Keep parts, assemblies and their component requirements together. Jems connects multi-level bills of materials with quoting, material planning and works orders, so the product structure follows the work.
The detail behind the product
Describe products using multi-level structures. Keep the components and quantities needed for an assembly connected to the parts your team quotes, buys and makes.
Manage BOM versions and attach drawings and datasheets. Keep supporting product information alongside the structure it describes.
Use the product structure in material planning and works orders. Connect component requirements with stock and purchasing decisions.
From specification to production
A finished assembly may contain bought-in parts and subassemblies that you manufacture. Its BOM gives the office, stores and production team a common view of those requirements.
In Jems, that structure sits alongside quoting and costing, MRP and works orders. Material requirements can be reviewed against stock and purchasing information in the same system.
Where the customer supplies material, free-issue requirements and ownership can be managed against the same part record as purchased stock.
Your questions
Yes. Jems supports multi-level product structures, so components and subassemblies can be represented within a finished product’s bill of materials.
BOM versioning is available. Formal Engineering Change Control is a separate planned development, with timing to be confirmed. See the roadmap and discuss the approval and revision process your team needs.
Bring a representative BOM, including a subassembly, its drawings and the way your team handles revisions. We can follow it through quoting, material requirements and a manufacturing job.
Yes. Parts and bills of materials are included in Jems Standard alongside quoting, MRP, stock and production. See subscription pricing. Implementation and migration are quoted separately.
